Our love affair continues… more cakes approved for Love at First Bake

A short while back we reviewed Love at First Bake's Coconut & Lemon Layer Cake which proved to be a gluten free delight. We finished the article with the promise of more cakes to come and here they are…

Two little loaf cakes
A Walnut Espresso Loaf Cake and Chocolate & Marshmallow Loaf Cake make perfect little teatime treats and look lovely on the cake stand. Both are light and moist in texture and smell very tempting.

The Walnut Espresso Cake is a version of the classic coffee and walnut
cake but incorporates ground walnuts into the sponge for a finer texture and all-round nutty flavour. There is a definite taste of real coffee too and the cake is finished with light frosting decorated with walnut pieces and pretty little chocolate coffee beans.

Always falling for a decent chocolate cake, Love at First Bake’s Chocolate & Marshmallow Cake ticks all the boxes. It is soft, rich, very moist and positively chocolatey. Finished with a fluffy chocolate frosting and a scattering of chocolate flakes and cute miniature pink and white marshmallows.

Raspberry & White Chocolate Muffin
This is a very moist muffin indeed with real raspberries which are fragrant with a little sharpness. Pieces of white chocolate leave a sweet and creamy trail throughout the muffin and balance well with the sherbet tang of the fruit.
Quite an indulgence with a morning coffee, but why not? It tastes very good.
