Alan Coxon's new TV series transmits this week

Alan Coxon's brand new TV series 'From Birmingham to Bombay' will be showing this week on Food Network UK.


Starting from Thursday 1st August at 11.30am and 12 noon, the food and travel series looks at the history and origination of five of the UK's (and world's) most popular curries.

This is in addition to the official launch date that is on the 19th-23rd August at 12 noon.

The first of the set of five cookbooks (read our blog post) is now available from www.booksbyalancoxon.com and looks at the foods of Northern India, the Punjab, Amritsar and includes Tandoori recipes, stories from the Golden temple and communal kitchens.

The Wildman family are back on ITV's The Dales

The Dales returns to ITV1 on 13th May at 8pm with a brand new third series.
The Dales, presented by Adrian Edmondson visits this beautiful area of Yorkshire and the people who live and work in some its remote communities.

Adrian Edmondson will be meeting up with the county's characters again following their exploits, trials, and tribulations. One of those people will be Chris Wildman of Paganum Produce and the series will be featuring the grand opening of the new butchery and farm shop, with Adrian performing the ribbon cutting ceremony as well as the Wildman family's eldest son Will and his farming exploits.

Alan Coxon’s new TV series From Birmingham to Bombay scheduled this summer

We are excited to announce that Alan Coxon has made a new TV series – ‘From Birmingham to Bombay’ which is due to hit our screens on Food Network UK this summer.

The food and travel series looks at five of the UK`s most popular curries including the Tandoori, Korma, Rogan Josh, Madras and Vindaloo.
Alan Coxon will be visiting seven locations across India in search of the history and origination of these curries as well as the spices used in them.

In the programmes, Alan will also go head to head with five Indian chefs to find out if the Indian curry is any different to that of the British version and ascertain if one is better than than the other.

The show is due to be aired from 19th – 23rd August, starting at 9.30 am and repeated throughout the day. www.foodnetwork.co.uk
