Three new ‘Delectables’ added to the Fudge Kitchen range

Fudge Kitchen has introduced three new varieties to add to its ‘Delectables’ range. The brittles and caramels consist of Mixed Nut Brittle, Butterscotch and Himalayan Salted Caramels.

Just like Fudge Kitchen’s fudge, these sugar confections are authentically handmade in small batches. The caramels are hand-rolled for a beautiful smooth texture and hand-stretching creates the perfect snap for their brittles.
Only the finest natural ingredients are used and locally sourced where possible.

Mixed Nut Brittle
A deep caramel brittle, hand stretched on marble counters for just the right
sweet snap, embedded with a salty, crunchy medley of walnuts, hazelnuts, almond and peanuts. Taste and texture perfection.

Butterscotch
Generous butterscotch caramel slices, smothered in thick, premium milk chocolate. An iconic British favourite brought hand worked to its zenith of creamy butteriness.

Himalayan Salted Caramels
Soft, sweet, creamy caramel perfectly balanced with a sprinkling of Himalayan salt. Each one hand rolled in milk chocolate and topped with pink Himalayan salt crystals. Three taste sensations, one sensational experience.

All are beautifully packaged making a perfect gift for a host, a coffee morning contribution or as an affordable luxury in just for yourself.

Flying the flag for British confectionery

To celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday, Fudge Kitchen launch their Best of British selection: nine miniature moments of British fudge history, gift bound by the Union flag.

Fudge Kitchen is truly flying the flag for British tradition, artisanal skill and product excellence. They are introducing the first of their new nine miniature selections range with the ‘on the tin’ name of Best of British.

Each beautiful 190g box of nine bite-sized pieces of meltingly smooth, handmade butter fudge, with impeccable provenance. The fudge uses locally sourced ingredients – the cream originating from some of the best British dairy farms.

The three traditional British fudge flavours are all natural and gluten-free.

Toffee Caramel
A Great-Taste winner and King of Fudges. Fresh whipping cream from a Sussex dairy which encourages cow hugging to ensure healthy and happy cows (yes, really!), combined with light brown and white sugars and handmade salted caramel. Hand-decorated with caramel chocolate.

Butterscotch
Inspired by Penuche. Handmade with Taste of Kent award-winning Channel Island double cream from a local, Kentish dairy, which has been caring for their pedigree Guernsey herds since 1930. Combined with unrefined dark brown and light brown sugars and a pinch of top notch Madagascan vanilla. Hand-dusted with edible bronze glitter.

Clotted Cream
The classic fudge. Hand produced with thick, clotted cream from the South of England’s most successful dairy, which has specialised in producing local, high quality dairy products in Dorset since 1958. Combined with white and light brown sugars and Madagascan vanilla. Hand-drizzled with white chocolate.

The Best of British fudge selection is available to buy online from www.fudgekitchen.co.uk and selected retailers.

Fudge Kitchen joins the Easter parade

When we think of Easter treats they are invariably egg-shaped and heavily biased towards chocolate.
So what if you’re bored of those confections or want to surprise someone with an alternative sweet gift?

Fudge Kitchen has something that will bring a smile with their beautifully packaged, meltingly creamy butter fudge.

Slim Sliders (main photo)

Delectable Pecan Brittle and Almond Bark from Fudge Kitchen

(left to right) Chantelle, Harley and Sophie hand rolling caramel for Pecan Turtles
at Fudge Kitchen’s Kent production facility.
***
Along with their handmade premium fudge and their unique wholesale gourmet butter fudge, Fudge Kitchen has now branched out into other sugar confectionery products.
Still using traditional methods and only top notch, authentic, natural ingredients they have added the Delectables range of brittles and caramels.

Following their successful Peanut Brittle, Fruit Caramels and Pecan Turtles, Fudge Kitchen have now introduced Almond Bark and a Pecan Brittle both produced with Fudge Kitchen’s style and commitment to producing the best, with a twist.

MD Sian Holt explains:
“Our caramels are smooth and soft: some chew, but still melting; and our brittles are thin with a deep caramel undertone and that vital crunch.”

Still hand made in small batches by an artisan staff, beautifully packaged and hand decorated, all five Delectables are the perfect gift for a host, a coffee morning contribution or, as a deceptively affordable luxury in a growing self-gifting market.

Pecan Brittle
True to the Delectables theme of perfect texture and taste, the salty, savoury crunch of buttery pecan within the sweet snap of brittle, hand stretched on marble counters, is a superlative combination.

Almond Bark
A gourmand’s Daim bar, here the rich butteriness of hand rolled sea salted caramel is shot through with dense strata of crunchy fresh almonds, all covered with a thick layer of smooth milk chocolate. This bark just gets better with every bite.

Make way for new superfruit jujube! – Tg Green Teas launches new hot and iced teas

Tg Green Teas, a new brand of hot and iced teas will ‘officially’ launch from stand 4468 at the Speciality & Fine Food Fair, Olympia, London: 6th – 8th September 2015.

The brand won a gold star for two of its hot blends – Green Tea and Green Tea with Jujube & Osmanthus.

Hua and Sophia, co-founders of the new London-based beverage company Tg Green Teas are very pleased to have been awarded the gold stars, saying,
“One of the most exciting aspects of our win is the discovery by the Great Taste Award judges of a delicious new superfruit”

So, just what is Jujube?
Tg Green Teas explain:
  • Jujube fruit or Chinese red date (hong zao 红枣) – pronounced “joo-joob” – has been cultivated in China for more than 4,000 years
  • Jujubes taste of sweet plums
  • Considered the ‘King of Vitamin C’, Jujubes have been used over centuries to help enhance health and vitality in so many ways it’s earned the title of ‘superfruit’ across Asia
  • Collagen-rich ‘beauty drinks’ don’t do much for you apart from loading you up with more sugar as the collagen in the drink will never reach the skin but be broken down in the stomach as more energy – better to consume food & drink naturally containing vitamin C and drink lots of water
  • We say ‘an apple a day keeps the doctor away’. The Chinese say ‘three jujubes a day keeps the medicine man at bay’

Tg are urging consumers to banish stale bags of bitter green tea dust and say no to pricey plant sap or high sugar drinks. This is Tg. Hot and iced green tea as it’s meant to be – smart! sassy! social! and full of delicious goodness just right at mealtime or anytime pick-me-up. Inspired by ancient wellness traditions from the Middle Kingdom, designed and developed in London.

Hua and Sophia look forward to welcoming you into the refreshingly delicious world of Tg Green Teas  Available soon in the USA, the Middle East, and in food and drink shops right here in the UK. In the meantime, you can try their hot and iced green teas via their e-shop shop.drinktg.com or Amazon (UK) before the rest of the UK begins to discover them. You’ll always be able to say to your friends “I tried them before you”.

New seasonal fruit vinegars added to Alan Coxon's range

***
We're excited to tell you about a new addition to Alan Coxon's vinegar range. Those of you who've visited his stand at any recent events may have already seen them.

Alan Coxon has used his multi-award winning historic Roman and Ancient Greek Vinaigres as the base in which to add and blend soft fruit flavours such as Raspberry, Strawberry, Passion Fruit and Blackcurrant.

These four fruity vinegars create a stunning new collection offering fresh vibrant and zingy taste sensations adding more fun and culinary adventures to the kitchen and plate. Whilst these are new to Alan’s food line and range, the fruits and vinegars themselves have been made for centuries.

The fruit vinegars are a special edition reflecting the changing seasons.
We hope you like the labels too as Alan asked us rustle up a quick 'fun, fresh and fruity' idea to add to the bottles.

One artisan to another: Creating UsableART™

***
A slightly unusual collaboration has given birth, or perhaps a whole new lease of life to something as simple as a piece of packaging.
For those of you who’ve purchase any of Alan Coxon’s historic vinegars have no doubt admired the stylish bottles that they come in. It seems such a shame to throw them away when they look and feel so good on the table.

Alan Coxon was inspired to take this a little further knowing that his customers carried on enjoying the bottles putting them to other uses around the home.

When Alan brought out his vinegars he wanted a bottle that evoked the product within, so he set about designing the bottle with a solid feel, had curvaceousness in the hand and a practical application.

He has now teamed up the artist RaRa Jane to produce unique UsableART™ pieces.
The artworks found on the bottles are all one-off individual images, all hand-printed and painted by artist RaRa Jane, who also incorporates silver leaf to add a touch of elegance. RaRa Jane uses the latest techniques and every bottle undergoes a three-day handmade process.

The bottles are real conversational pieces in the home, adding colour and individual art to some everyday areas.
They are not only beautifully useful in the kitchen, but also look great in the bathroom filled with bubble bath, shampoo, in the window with a few elegant flowers or transforming the evening by adding a touch of romance with a candle.

The bottles are presented in silk-lined gift boxes and come with a certificate of authenticity signed by artist RaRa Jane and Alan Coxon offering a stunning unique gift. If you are looking for something more bespoke then your own specific images or art can be applied on to the bottle.

We think the UsableART™ bottle designs are truly stunning and would make fantastic presents.

Please visit the shop to order your UsableART™
You can also order bespoke designs from the shop too.

Alan Coxon introduces new Macadamia Nut Oil to his range

Photo: ©Alan Coxon

***
Alan Coxon has launched a brand new product within the UK in the form of one of the healthiest oils in the world.

Macadamia nut oil has so many wonderful properties including no cholesterol and high in vitamin E and omega 7, and equally as important, it tastes fantastic with a mild clean flavour of the nut itself.

Alan has added the cold pressed extra virgin Macadamia nut oil to his existing historic food range that includes the globally unique and multi award winning Mediaeval Old English Ale-Gar™, Roman Vinaigre™ and Ancient Greek Vinaigre™ because it marries so well with these products.

The nutty flavour, density and golden colour goes hand in hand to create a stunning dip for bread, salad dressing, or marinade.
In addition to the health and flavour benefits, the oil is perfect to cook with and one of the best for roasting, baking and frying, offering a smoke point of up to 210˚C.

Breckland Orchard introduces Posh Squash

Photo: © childsdesign

In addition to Breckland Orchard's fine range of Posh Pop a new line of Posh Squash has been added for more cooling refreshment this summer.

The three new cordials come in Plum & Cherry, Lemon & Mint and Rhubarb & Ginger flavours.
Each 330ml bottle contains a highly concentrated cordial needing just one part Posh Squash to eight parts water.

The Artisan Food Trail has been currently sipping the Plum & Cherry and Lemon & Mint varieties mixed with sparkling mineral water over ice. We like both of them as they are not over-sweet and taste very good.

There's so much you could do with Breckland Orchard's Posh Squash – mixing them into cocktails would make an exciting grown-up drink.
We have a few of our own ideas for other things too…

We are pleased to award Breckland Orchard our 'Artisan Food Trail Approved' status for their Lemon & Mint Posh Squash.
